Traveling to North-India with Lama Mark Webber

Lama Mark is extending an invitation to his students to join him on this journey to visit some precious Teachers in India. This is an invaluable opportunity to receive innumerable blessings and teachings.

If you wish to join the Lama please note the following helpful suggestions in considering this Dharma trip:

His primary purpose during October-November is to be with his teachers and to receive profound nourishment from them and of course have us all receive blessings and teachings. It is not a sight seeing ‘visit India trip’, at least not while with the Lama! It will be on the schedule of the Lama and subject to possible sudden changes in itinerary or accommodation. One needs to respect his instructions on etiquette and customs, and be able to follow his instructions or requests for various purposes that may at times be mystifying. He will give Dharma teachings, but likely spontaneously, when it feels right. Will there be opportunities to simply enjoy being in India, eating out, shopping and sight-seeing? Yes, of course, but make sure those plans can be let go of at a moments notice, or conducted before and after travels with Lama Mark.

The general unspecific schedule, at this time and subject to change is:

1. October 4th, 2013 – Arrive in Delhi. Arrival from Canada and Europe is usually early in the morning. Sightseeing in Delhi.

2. October 7th – travel by car towards Tso Pema (Rewalsar)

3. October 9th – arrive in Tso Pema

4. October 10th – 21st (approximate) – Tso Pema: Teachings by H.E. Lho Ontul Rinpoche (primary reason for visit). Also visits to have blessings or teachings from Wangdor Rinpoche and other teachers in the area.

5. October 22nd (approximate) – October 30th – travel to Dharamsala to have audience and hopefully teachings from H.H. the 17th Karmapa and possibly other teachers.

6. November 7-10th – a meeting with H.E. Khandro Rinpoche and attending teachings as opportunity arises.

7. November 7th onwards. Depending on teacher’s schedules, Lama Mark may stay in India in through mid November.

Travel Arrangements:

Sonam Topgyal, a kind and dear friend of Lama Mark’s, who also owns a travel agency in Delhi, will be traveling with us and will once again be making all the travel arrangements (excluding your flights to India), hotel bookings, vehicles, contacting the Lamas and their secretaries for visits, sightseeing, etc. Price is not known yet, but estimate about +$2,000 USD for a month in India (Oct 4-Nov 4th.), not including the flight to Delhi. We are requesting that students traveling help out with the Lama’s airfare.
